 Happy Poetic Thursday!

So happy to see my Poetic Friends!! I hope you found some time this past week to write a poem for the crazy photo I gave you last week as inspiration for today. I thought the guy in the photo was a little scary but then that’s me. What did he inspire you to write in the way of a poem??

ACROSTIC POEM

There was a cat named Zach

He went to school to be a vet 

Everyone thought this was a hack


Come to find out 

All his friends didn't believe him, they

Thought this was a doubt


Days passed, and he earned his school degree 

Offers for jobs and the choices he made

Can you say Zach for Pet Meds, Appointee?

We all know I have to write at least something, well, I know I do.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, SIX-SENTENCE STORY PROMPTS #3

 


"Wait a minute," the goddess said. "Stop running away from me."


All of us watched in amazement as we froze in silence and stillness.


 Her flowing gown seemed to glow in the pitch darkness that once again enveloped the room. 


It was immensely freezing, which stiffened our bodies along with our fear.


What would she do to us if we didn't do as she said?


You could hear a pen drop in that room from the silence of what happened next. 

Either way, her gown impressed me so much that I began to admire her beauty...starting with her hair which seemed iridescent in the glow of her extreme composure, or maybe awe was the word to describe what I felt in her presence, yes awe was a part of her beauty and mystery, I think.

What started out as fear of the goddess of Nair became almost like a spell that she was binding on us, pulling our energy into her dominance.

We were hypnotized by her eyes; she was trapping us like a snake was being guided by music, she would mesmerize us, gain our trust, to be sure the owner knew about us in here while he popped popcorn in the lobby.

I tried to scream, so someone outside the room could hear me, with no sound coming forth through my mouth, nor was I able to move, I'd be stuck here in this room with these people, forever so it seemed.

Unless I were strong enough, if I could acquire any strength over the goddesses' power over me, if I could turn my eyes away from her, then I could break her hold over me, but how?

I turned my attention to the high-pitched scream coming from the object hanging from the ceiling.

SIX-SENTENCE STORY PROMPTS/ FOR YOUR EYES ONLY #1


 

(THE FIRST INSTALLMENT) 6-5-25

THE WORD FOR TODAY IS FUSE

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, SAID THE SIGN.


 THE MOVIE BILLBOARD HAD A USUALLY PLACED SIGN SITTING ON TOP OF THE METAL FRAME THAT HOUSED THE POSTER.


EVERYONE WAS STUNNED TO REALIZE THE SIGN WAS MEANT FOR EVERY MOVIE GOER BRAVE ENOUGH TO VIEW THIS PARTICULAR SHOW.


THE SCREENING ROOM WAS WELL LIT AFTER THE VIEWING OF THE MOVIE.


 NEVERTHELESS, THE POPPING OF A FUSE WAS HEARD, THEN THEUNUSUAL VOICES, SCREAMING HELP!


  THE ATMOSPHERE WAS BONE COLD INSIDE THE SCREEN ROOM AS EVERYONE FROZE IN THE PLACE THEY STOOD WHEN THEY SAW WHAT WAS HANGING FROM THE CEILING…
