Happy Poetic Thursday!

So happy to see my Poetic Friends!! I hope you found some time this past week to write a poem for the crazy photo I gave you last week as inspiration for today. I thought the guy in the photo was a little scary but then that’s me. What did he inspire you to write in the way of a poem??

ACROSTIC POEM

There was a cat named Zach

He went to school to be a vet

Everyone thought this was a hack

Come to find out

All his friends didn't believe him, they

Thought this was a doubt

Days passed, and he earned his school degree

Offers for jobs and the choices he made

Can you say Zach for Pet Meds, Appointee?

It's always a good thing to be thankful. The mind is constantly bombarded with negative thoughts, and we need to turn them into positive ones. Why does that happen? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Last night was church bible study on this verse

which reminds me that my decision to focus on ways to distract myself away from doom scrolling on Facebook(social media) is one thing I am thankful for. My longing to be like someone else by comparison does not lead me to my ultimate goal, to be Christ-like in my thinking. I am unique; God made me. I am good enough; all of these things should be my focus. That's one reason I started my blog (to focus on my God given abilities and not to focus on others by comparison).
