MIDNIGHT VISITOR EPISODE 3

CORKY SULLIVAN...

Corky Sullivan leaned over the pier's railing. Sipping her coffee, she thought about the fight she had had with her dad before he left for vacation. She was scheduled to go with the family, but at the last minute, she changed her mind. She backed out, all because her bestie wanted to take her riding around town this weekend. Her dad wasn't happy about her staying home while the family was on vacation. He finally caved after a heated argument they had the night before her family left for vacation. But first, he gave her a key...

Corky is getting anxious. Where is Cameron?, she said to herself. The bugs were horrible, also. She got bites on her arms and legs. These bites swelled up into blisters that not only itched but also hurt and felt warm to the touch. She decided to go inside to wait for Cameron. Corky reached the beautiful purple blooms on the plant her mom had planted. The hydrangea bush was a gift from her mom's dearest friend. It had grown over the years. As soon as she reached the plant, she fainted.

HINDSIGHT IS ALWAYS 20/20, SO THEY SAY...

Corky didn't know that Cameron would never show up. She would not pick her up to drive around town and get a bite to eat... Unfortunately, Cameron was, at this very minute, a victim of a horrible spreading disease. Cameron was unaware of her surroundings and completely unconscious of this world. So far, the disease has occurred in several areas. This disease would be considered the most catastrophic event experienced in over 100 years.

THE DAY AFTER, WHEN THE BODY WAS DISCOVERED...

By the time the cops finished their investigation, it was time to eat lunch. My stomach was growling, but I didn't feel like I should leave the body of the young girl or the cops as they were writing down information. Plus, her family had to be notified. I'm the one to tell her family. Not the police. I sat on the porch to wait as the funeral home came to collect the body to prepare for burial. Miss Sullivan, I heard Hubert say, "We are going to head to the car to call something in to headquarters." I said ok and began to think of the midnight visit from my father. What did he mean? Someone was stalking me? I wonder if the death of my neighbor had anything to do with what he told me the night before? I had several questions in my head. Why did I end up in bed this morning as if nothing had happened? More importantly, what lock did the key that the young woman we discovered held in her hand open?
